In collaboration with the teacher education program in the College of Health & Human Services, students in the College of Arts and Sciences can select a secondary education major in English , History , Spanish , Biology , Chemistry , Physics , Mathematics , and Earth and Space Science .

Details for these programs are listed with the specific majors. Students in this pathway must have current criminal record checks, FBI clearances, and child abuse clearances. Students must have a 2.9 overall GPA and pass PAPA or CORE, or have SAT or ACT scores that are high enough to offer exemption from these assessments to be admitted to teacher candidacy. Please see the Office of Teacher Education and Certification for more information on testing.
